FAQ
Can I make Renaissance Health my primary care office?
Your primary care provider is an important part of your health team. They should be available to offer routine vaccinations, screenings in the office, evaluate acute illness, order urgent labs and imaging, and offer on-call services. Renaissance Health does not take the place of your primary care provider.
Can you prescribe medicines?
Absolutely! However, if there are tools available that can bring you back into balance and correct dysfunction that do not involve daily medication we will explore those options as well. We suggest supplements from trusted sources that are tested and vetted to ensure quality and safety.
Does Renaissance Health accept insurance?
Not at this time. Insurance restricts the length of patient visits and does not reimburse for health counseling or preventative medicine. You can request a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement directly to you. All payments are due at the time of service.
What about labs?
This office has relationships with several free-standing labs in the area. We offer both traditional labs and more speciality functional medicine testing. Although we do not bill insurance, we can offer a substantial discount for self pay labs that bypass the insurance system.
Does Renaissance Health accept pediatric patients?
We absolutely love to see children!
Are Renaissance Health services an HSA-allowable expense?
You will need to contact your benefits representative to find out if services from functional medicine practitioners are covered.
